EMCONZ is a collaboration brought to you by both the Electrical Engineering Group (EEG) and Mechanical Engineering Group (MEG). Collectively representing over 1000-strong New Zealand
MEG & EEG members.

The conference is also open to non-members with an interest in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering activities throughout Aotearoa New Zealand and from overseas.

Electrical Engineering Group

Who are the Electrical Engineering Group?

The Electrical Engineering Group (EEG) is an Engineering New Zealand technical group that represents the interests of electrical engineers across New Zealand with an active membership of over 350. Our members represent Engineering New Zealand on electrical related standards committees. 

The EEG routinely provide presentations, factory visits and site visits to its members and collaboration partners. In addition to our own membership base we collaborate with both the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET), the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Illumination Engineering Society (IESANZ), the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and The International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE) to share events and learning opportunities.

Who are the Mechanical Engineering Group?

The Mechanical Engineering Group (MEG) is an Engineering New Zealand technical group that
represents the interests of mechanical engineers across New Zealand with an active membership of over 700.  In addition, our members represent Engineering New Zealand on mechanical related standards committees.

The MEG routinely provide presentations, factory visits and site visits to its members and collaboration partners. In addition to our own membership base we collaborate with both the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Ventilation.
